In February 2025, Mexican workers only enjoyed one mandatory official date that was recorded on the first Monday of the month on the occasion of the commemoration of the Anniversary of the Promulgation of the Mexican Constitution of 1917; this year it fell on Monday, February 5. After this holiday there will be no more days of rest, the next one is scheduled until March 17 for the Birth of Benito Juárez.

This is what you should be paid if you work on a mandatory holiday!
Workers who are required to provide their services on mandatory holidays under the Federal Labor Law (LFT), have the right to be paid extra, regardless of the salary that corresponds to them for mandatory rest, that is, a double salary for the service provided, with the above, they must be covered by the normal daily salary, plus double.
Remember! Article 75 of the Federal Labor Law says that: “Workers will have the right to be paid, regardless of the salary that corresponds to them for mandatory rest, a double salary for the service provided.”
In case the mandatory rest day coincides with the weekly rest day, that is, on Sunday, the employer must cover the worker’s payment of the Sunday bonus established by article 71 of the Federal Labor Law.
