PAUT protects families from real estate fraud in Tamaulipas

To ensure that families who acquire land build their property in legal and safe developments, the Environmental and Urban Attorney’s Office of Tamaulipas (PAUT) carried out an inspection in a subdivision under construction located at kilometer 6 of the Interejidal highway, in the ejido La Libertad, Misión and Sabino Unidos, in the municipality of Victoria.

The Environmental and Urban Attorney, Ramiro Lozano González, reported that during the visit, PAUT staff requested the necessary permits and authorizations from those responsible for the development.

However, they were unable to present the required documentation, which raised alerts about the possibility that an irregular settlement was being formed without complying with current regulations.

Lozano González explained that, given this situation, PAUT applied a security measure and ordered the immediate suspension of work and services on the site. “Our objective is to ensure that all developments comply with the law to avoid future problems for families looking for a home,” he emphasized.

The state official stressed that in compliance with Governor Américo Villarreal Anaya’s commitment to strengthen urban and territorial planning, the PAUT will continue with inspections to detect irregularities and apply the corresponding sanctions.

“We cannot allow the continued construction of subdivisions without authorization, since this affects urban planning and the quality of life of citizens,” he said.

With these actions, the State Government, through the Environmental and Urban Attorney’s Office, seeks to prevent people from being deceived with the sale of land in developments without permits, thus protecting their investment and ensuring orderly growth in the state.
