Federal Highway 307 at the northern entrance to Tulum was blocked for approximately two hours by protesters demanding free beach access and the repeal of entry fees at Jaguar Park for foreign tourists.

The protest began before noon at the intersections of Cobá Avenue and Tulum Avenue. Despite authorities setting up a dialogue table, the protesters insisted on their demands, leading to the complete blockage of the highway.

Around fifty protesters marched to the roundabout at the northern entrance to the city, where they initiated the blockade. The demonstration lasted for two hours before the protesters agreed to engage in dialogue with the authorities and allowed the resumption of vehicle circulation.

The discussions between the protesters and the authorities are ongoing, as they seek to address the concerns over the fees at Jaguar Park and the demand for free beach access.
