A young man was murdered by a group of people who beat him to death, after accusing him of having broken into a house in Comalcalco, Tabasco.
The events occurred during the early hours of Monday in the East Sexta Section ranch, when two men entered a private home to steal a truck and a motorcycle, being discovered by the owners and neighbors.
And although they fled, one of them managing to escape, the other, named Gabriel ‘N’, was captured and brutally beaten to death by the victims and an enraged crowd.
A video has circulated on social media in which the furious captors and the alleged thief can be seen lying on the ground in agony, being kicked by some people, while armed municipal police guard the site to bring the criminal to the attention of the Public Prosecutor’s Office.
In the clip, neighbors are heard demanding justice from the authorities and accusing them of constant robberies in the area, pointing out that these thieves, during the attempted robbery, had beaten the wife of one of the victims.
It should be noted that the young man arrested was wearing an orange jumpsuit and, according to one of his captors who identifies him, he claims to be from the ‘La Chonita’ ranch in the municipality of Cunduacán.
Unfortunately, Gabriel ‘N’ would have lost his life, after the severe beating he received from the crowd, fed up with the constant wave of violence that is experienced in the state.
This is the second lynching in the government of Javier May Rodríguez, who assumed power on October 1. Just on January 3 of this year, residents of the town of Simón Sarlat, Centla, took “justice into their own hands” by lynching and burning a man alive in a public park, after being accused of having executed another subject with stabbings.
