After the theft of a newborn was reported in Escobedo, Nuevo León, the Nuevo León Attorney General’s Office activated an Amber Alert confirming that a foreign couple had abducted the little girl.
The abduction of the baby was reported this Wednesday in a house on Aldama Street in the Concordia neighborhood, where municipal police and elements of the State Investigation Agency arrived.
According to the first investigations, the baby was abducted by a Central American couple who arrived with the mother when she had just given birth.
The Amber Alert indicates that the man and the woman took the newborn violently from the home.
“On the day of the events, the newborn was violently abducted from her home by two people with a foreign accent, male and female, without knowing her whereabouts. Due to the conditions of the disappearance, the time elapsed and her age, the newborn could be in imminent danger,” reads the alert.
How did the abduction of the baby in Escobedo occur?
The mother of the newborn said that the couple involved in the abduction injected her with a substance to force her to give birth.
The man and the woman took the baby wrapped in a pink towel and escaped on a motorcycle.
Neighbors of the woman identified as Silvia Amariani, 19 years old, were the first to help her.
A video shows the young mother lying in bed while several women ask her about what happened.
