The Amber and Regional Products Fair 2025 will take place from April 12 to 17 at Casa Mazariegos, located in the historic center of this city. This event will bring together 60 exhibitors from various Chiapas towns, who will exhibit and sell a wide variety of artisanal products during Holy Week.
According to Hernán Torrez García, president of the Union of Amber Artisans of Chiapas, the Fair will extend beyond the first scheduled date, resuming on April 21 and 22, and concluding on April 25, 26 and 27.
Visitors will be able to find items such as amber, chocolate, honey, cocoa, textiles from Zinacantán, Larráinzar, Carranza and Parral, as well as clay pieces and a select selection of wines. All of this is made by artisan hands from municipalities such as Simojovel, Zinacantán, Amatenango del Valle, Tuxtla Gutiérrez, Chiapa de Corzo and San Cristóbal de Las Casas.
The event will be open to the public from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., offering a unique opportunity for attendees to purchase high-quality products directly from producers.
In addition to promoting local trade, the Amber and Regional Products Fair 2025 aims to strengthen the link between artisans and consumers, promoting fair trade and the economic development of the region. With this initiative, we seek to celebrate the cultural and artisanal wealth of Chiapas, highlighting the importance of preserving and valuing these traditions.
