The Federal Electricity Commission (CFE) confirmed that four of its workers were found dead in the municipality of Acatlán de Figueroa, Oaxaca.
“The authorities have begun the corresponding investigations to clarify the events. The CFE is collaborating with the relevant authorities and will continue to monitor the development of the investigations. We extend our condolences to the families of the workers, who have our full support,” the company said in a statement.
The Oaxaca Attorney General’s Office reported that it deployed a multidisciplinary team after learning about the location of the lifeless bodies of four males during the morning of Tuesday, February 11.
The bodies were on the side of the road on the stretch from Acatlán de Pérez Figueroa to El Amate Veracruz, belonging to the municipality of Tierra Blanca.

“The Oaxaca state prosecutor’s office was able to establish that the victims were deprived of their liberty in the state of Veracruz and were later found dead in the border area between the two entities,” the prosecutor’s office stressed.
The prosecutor’s office carried out the ministerial work to put together the investigation file and subsequently send it to the Veracruz State Attorney General’s Office, the institution that will be in charge of the case.
“The channels of collaboration have already been established with the objective of finding whoever is responsible,” the statement indicated.
As a result of the first investigations that are strengthened with the interviews around the case, it was established that the dead people were identified as F.A.V., J.V.R., A.B. and J.M.N., workers of the Federal Electricity Commission (CFE) in the municipality of Tierra Blanca, Veracruz.
