In 24 hours, transporters reported three robberies on the Mexico-Querétaro highway, on the border between the State of Mexico and Hidalgo, in addition to the disappearance of two truck drivers.

Two of the three robberies —which were committed during the last hours of this Wednesday— were reported in WhatsApp groups of transporters, as well as on social networks, without any authority having confirmed or denied the incidents.

Robberies on the Mexico-Querétaro, to truck drivers

In the first incident, a Gammyt line truck driver was assaulted on the Mexico-Querétaro highway, between the Tepotzotlán toll booth and the Valero gas station in Coyotepec, where the operator was found with three bullet wounds, one of them serious, in the abdomen.

The second robbery occurred near Coyotepec, on its border with Tepeji del Río; The victim was the driver of a white trailer, with license plates 24-BE-6Z, which was towing a dry box truck with the company name Dacer Logistic.

Separately, on Thursday morning, another assault on an operator was reported, which was made known on social networks of truckers. It was reported that the affected transporter was shot.

The events allegedly occurred on the Mexico-Querétaro highway, near the toll booth. The unit in which the trucker was traveling was white with blue and was towing a white dry box truck.

Added to the listed cases is the disappearance of Fray Garza Dimas, an operator who was reported missing since the beginning of this week, after contact with him was lost; it was reported that he was last seen at the Servicios Modernos gas station, located in Soyaniquilpan, State of Mexico.

The increase in criminal acts is not exclusive to the Mexico-Querétaro highway. The Northern Arc has also seen a wave of recent robberies, but surveillance has not been increased.
