Mexico has beautiful places to visit, one of them is Mazatlán, Sinaloa, the only beach destination on the Mexican Pacific coast that has a Historic Center, which allows visitors to travel through stories from the past and, at the same time, write new stories.

To promote the destination, the Ministry of Tourism of Sinaloa presented the campaign “Mazatlán, a sea of stories” that aims to promote the beaches, restaurants and other attractions of Mazatlán.

What makes Mazatlán a special place?

With an architecture that fuses Spanish, French and German influences, the Historic Center of Mazatlán shines in its streets, squares and monuments. The Cathedral, the Plazuela Machado and the Ángela Peralta Theater, Historical Heritage of the Nation, are witnesses of a city that has managed to preserve its tradition over time.

Mazatlán is also the beach destination par excellence. This corner of the Pacific offers beaches ideal for relaxing and connecting with nature, such as the virgin beaches of Isla de la Piedra and Playa Venados. For adrenaline lovers, Playa Olas Altas and Playa Brujas are perfect for practicing water sports.

Mazatlán’s gastronomy is world famous for its fresh flavors, capable of captivating even the most demanding palate. With the Guinness Record for the largest shrimp cocktail in the world, Mazatlán is distinguished as “The shrimp capital,” where you can taste emblematic dishes such as shrimp aguachile, scallops and zarandeado fish, all made with fresh seafood from the region.

As if that were not enough, this paradisiacal place is also home to international events, such as the Mazatlán Cultural Festival, the Pacific Marathon and the Festival of Light. However, the most anticipated event of the year is the Mazatlán International Carnival, one of the three most important in the world, along with those of Rio de Janeiro and New Orleans. With more than 120 years of history, the Carnival is a unique celebration that combines art, culture, music and the festive spirit in front of the sea, becoming one of the most vibrant events in the destination.
