Contingents of health personnel closed at least nine important roads that connect the State of Mexico with the capital of the country, causing vehicles to park and damage to the vicinity of the Mexico City International Airport (AICM) in demand of better working conditions.
In addition, the cranes of a group of transporters who gathered this morning at the Tepozotlán toll booth were blocked in the Iztapalapa municipality before beginning their mobilization to the center of the city to demand an end to extortions.
The State of Mexico Security Secretariat reported the presence of protesters walking with banners on at least nine avenues, in different municipalities of the state.
In Toluca, the closure in both directions of Alfredo del Mazo and Manuel Buendía Tellez Girón avenues was reported; in addition to Tollocan and Jesús Carranza avenues, in the Universidad neighborhood, at the height of the Mónica Petrelini hospital.
Another protest was recorded on the Toluca-Atlacomulco highway at the “El Dorado” toll booth; a fourth protest of health personnel was in Chalco, this time on the Mexico-Cuautla federal highway.
In the municipality of Lerma, protesters walked on the Mexico-Toluca highway at the La Estación neighborhood.
The authorities of the State of Mexico, through video surveillance cameras, detected more protests in Chicoloapan on the Mexico-Texcoco federal highway, and in Ecatepec it was recorded on Carlos Hank González Avenue and Pichardo Pagaza Avenue, Valle de Anáhuac.
The Mexico-Pachuca highway, the Mexico-Teotihuacán highway, and the Periférico Norte near Tlalnepantla are also affected
For its part, the Traffic Guidance Center of the Secretariat of Citizen Security of Mexico City, through its social networks, warned about the presence of medical personnel on Ignacio Zaragoza Causeway to the West, near Circuito Interior, so the road was closed by elements of the SSC.
This closure occurs in the vicinity of the AICM, the personnel in charge of the airport, yesterday, warned about the effects on the roads of the accesses to terminals 1 and 2.
On the Ignacio Zaragoza Causeway, elements of the SSC blocked the movement of cranes that were planning to join the protests of the transporters who called to arrive at the Zócalo to demand an end to the robberies and extortions that their union suffers.
At around 8:00 a.m., a group of transporters closed the vehicular passage at the Tepozotlán toll booth located on the Mexico-Querétaro highway, generating lines of stranded cars. Hours later, health workers were in charge of closing it.
