The franchise sector in Puebla has more than 375 brands, with 1,600 points of sale, making it fourth place nationwide, only behind CDMX and the metropolitan area, Jalisco and Nuevo León.
This was reported by Lidia Quezada Osornio, Business Development at Comexposium and director of the International Franchise Fair (FIF), who commented that the entity has strengthened its position in recent years within the central area.
She highlighted that this growth of the sector in Puebla resulted in significant job creation, with more than 3,000 direct jobs.
In addition, she detailed, the sectors with the greatest presence in Puebla reflect the needs of consumers: food and beverages (35%), health and beauty (28%) and general services (12%).
“Puebla is a state with a constantly growing economy. It has become a key point for the expansion of franchises, attracting national and international brands seeking to establish themselves in the market,” he said.
