For the first time in its history, the University of Sonora (Unison) has begun offering Korean language classes. The course, called Korean 1, began on February 18, 2025.
The classes are available to both Unison students and people outside the university. The offer seeks to expand the learning of foreign languages in the community.
Where and at what time are the classes taught?
The course is taught from Monday to Friday from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. in person within the Department of Foreign Languages at Unison.
Dr. Andrés Acosta Félix, academic of the Department of Letters and Linguistics at Unison, announced the opening of the course through his social networks.
The teaching of Korean responds to the growing interest in culture and language in various areas such as commerce, technology and entertainment. With this educational offer, Unison expands the opportunities for training in foreign languages.
