The head of government, Clara Brugada, spoke out against the assault suffered by a transsexual woman in the Alameda Central, but avoided talking about the responsibility of the officers of the Secretariat of Citizen Security (SSC) who witnessed the events and not only did not try to help the victim, but did not arrest the aggressors.

On her X account, the local leader stated that the two men who beat the transsexual woman, who belongs to the Mercadita Feminista collective, last Sunday, February 23, have already been presented to the Public Ministry, so the Attorney General’s Office of Mexico City (FGJCDMX) has already begun the corresponding investigations.

The message only referred to the two civilians who were caught on video while beating the victim who was sitting on the ground. Brugada did not mention whether there will be any type of investigation or sanction against the SSC officers who observed the assault without doing anything to prevent it.

The recording shows that the officers did not intervene to stop the attack and did not take any action to arrest the perpetrators, who left the scene on foot.
