Rocío Nahle García, governor of Veracruz, spoke in favor of establishing a single payroll for the state bureaucracy.
The state governor indicated that this action, which will be carried out in the coming weeks, aims to achieve greater order in public finances and to detect possible freeloaders.
“We are fulfilling our obligation to teachers and all state workers. I wanted this month to have a single payroll, a single payroll for the entire Government,” she explained in an interview with the media.
What does it mean? For example, a worker from the Ministry of Health cannot be on the Education or Environment payroll. It should be a single payroll in the Government,” she stressed.
“It would detect many things (freeloaders). All companies and large corporations have it like that (a single payroll),” she pointed out.
Nahle García pointed out that each department currently has its own payroll, which cannot be this way.
“And here I found that Education has its payroll, Environment has its payroll, they are separate and we started working on that,” she said.
