How did they find the criminal camp?
Due to their geographical position, the criminals fled when they noticed the proximity of the uniformed officers, who located 10 people illegally deprived of their liberty abandoned, as reported by the commander in charge of the convoy of National Guard agents, who requested anonymity, due to the nature of their operations:
“In the community called La Casita, on a third-order dirt road, we observed a camp presumably used by organized crime, by a criminal group that operates here in the state of Zacatecas. With all security measures, we arrived at the location, we carried out reconnaissance in the surroundings and in the undergrowth we located ten people, five men and five women, of which three are minors, so we proceeded with all security measures to give them first aid and provide them with security to rescue them,” he declared.

The people who were freed are mostly young people and teenagers between 12 and 22 years old, including a 17-year-old pregnant teenager, as well as a 55-year-old man:
“When we find them, the first thing we do is a visual check to see that they are not beaten, that they are okay, we give them first aid, we provide them with water and food that we bring at the time to later transfer them to the prosecutor’s facilities and they carry out the corresponding procedures to be delivered to their relatives,” explained the military commander.
Some of the victims had been in captivity for about two months and doing forced labor, for their families the news of their release and that they returned to their homes on Tuesday was a miracle: “I just saw it, I can’t believe it, I’m very happy, so much happiness cannot fit in my heart, he was born again,” said the mother of one of the freed teenagers.
These displays of joy were expressed towards the GN elements in charge of the operation: “The satisfaction of having fulfilled our duty is the best thing we have as agents of the National Guard and for the entire population, trust us, we do our work from the heart, not out of obligation, from the heart and be assured that we will continue with these actions with which we can prevent crime and protect everyone,” said one of the military agents participating in the release.
This operation was possible thanks to the collaboration of residents who observed the presence of people outside the place and notified the authorities, which allowed the implementation of patrols, which led to the release of the victims:
“The complaint, we ask you a lot, the complaint is very important, it helps us to be able to carry out our work more easily, there are several numbers 911, 088, 089 or numbers that are made available to you so that you can anonymously provide us with information and it is much easier for us to carry out our activities,” added the uniformed officer.
Public security patrols will continue in the region to prevent criminal groups from using these hard-to-reach areas for criminal operations again.
