South Korean actor and model Wi Ha Joon, recognized worldwide for his role as detective Hwang Jun-ho in the hit Netflix series “Squid Game,” has confirmed his visit to Mexico as part of his “A Wively Day” fan meeting tour.
This international tour, organized by Applewood, will allow the actor to meet face to face with his Latin American fans for the first time in at least three countries and among them he will set foot on Aztec lands.
Wi Ha Joon, who has expressed his gratitude to the international public on several occasions, has shown his enthusiasm for meeting his Spanish-speaking fans. His growing popularity outside of South Korea has been driven not only by his participation in the acclaimed survival series, but also by his work in other South Korean productions that have had great acceptance on streaming platforms.
The “A Wively Day” tour began in August 2024, with exclusive events in Asian countries. Due to the high demand and enthusiasm of his fans in other parts of the world, the tour has expanded to Latin America, where the renowned actor has amassed a solid fan base thanks to the growing popularity of K-dramas and South Korean culture in the region.

The “A Wively Day” event in Mexico City is scheduled for April 21, 2025 and will be its last stop, as it will have performances in Santiago, Chile on April 16, and Sao Paulo, Brazil on April 18.

Who is Wi Ha Joon?
Wi Ha Joon, whose real name is Wi Hyun-yi, was born on August 5, 1991 in South Korea and studied at Sungkyul University, majoring in theater and film. His debut in the entertainment industry came in 2012, and he has since participated in various television and film projects.
Despite having worked in multiple productions, his international recognition came with “The Squid Game” (2021), where he played detective Hwang Jun-ho, a police officer who infiltrates an underground competition in the hopes of finding his missing brother. The series, which became a worldwide phenomenon, allowed him to establish himself as a rising star within the entertainment industry.
