State of Mexico joins the national strategy ‘Live Healthy, Live Happy’

The Government of the State of Mexico announced through a press release that it has joined the National Strategy: Live Healthy, Live Happy, which seeks to guarantee the right to education and health as pillars of the well-being of girls, boys, adolescents and young people.

With this action, it is projected to benefit more than 3 million students, belonging to 17 thousand public schools distributed in the State of Mexico.

The program seeks to turn schools into spaces for health prevention, mental health care, addiction prevention, oral health promotion and application of eye exams, with free delivery of glasses for those who need them.

The president highlighted that it is the only one in the state that has a baseball field and the space is a social work since it seeks the physical and comprehensive well-being of the population
The event headed by President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo and Mario Delgado Carrillo, Secretary of Public Education, was attended by representatives of the Government of the State of Mexico: Miguel Ángel Hernández Espejel, Secretary of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation; Macarena Montoya Olvera, Secretary of Health; and Karina Labastida Sotelo, General Director of the System for the Comprehensive Development of the Family.
