Corn and coffee producers said that during the previous administration they abandoned their farms due to the presence of armed groups that stole their machinery, invaded their plots, and kidnapped their workers, however, as far as aquaculture farms are concerned, they were not of great interest to these armed groups.
Even producers from Chiapas abandoned their crops for fear of being charged a floor fee, therefore with the current security strategy and the intervention of the Pakal Immediate Reaction Force, they have recovered the fields of Chiapas and the aquaculture farms continue with their production.
