The Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG) invests in gold mines in the states of Michoacán and Nayarit, in order to increase the assets of the head of the criminal group: Michoacan Nemesio Rubén Oseguera Cervantes, “El Mencho.”
According to federal investigations, the person in charge of this would be Virginia León Osornio, wife of Abraham Oseguera Cervantes, alias Don Rodo, recaptured this Friday by the Army in Jalisco.
She would be investing illicit money in those Michoacán and Nayarit, rich in gold and mineral mines, according to intelligence investigations.
For the authorities, Abraham Oseguera Cervantes is responsible for laundering his brother Nemesio’s money, through the purchase of ranches, land and properties.
Alias Don Rodo relied on public notaries from Ciudad Guzmán and Autlán de Navarro, Jalisco, to manage the name changes of the owners.
Abraham Oseguera Cervantes, alias “Don Rodo”, was recaptured by Army elements in the community of Atajeas de Covarrubias, Jalisco, along with three other people, members of the Jalisco Nueva Generación Cartel, reported the federal security cabinet.
During his arrest, weapons, cash and drug doses were seized.
