Various security elements carried out the seizure of doses of different drugs, as well as substances used for their manufacture after operations in different parts of the country. These were million-dollar losses for members of organized crime.
The actions took place in the period from February 28 to March 2, that is, in a period of three days. It was the Secretariat of Security and Citizen Protection (SSPC) that detailed the value of the various seizures related to criminal groups.
Chihuahua: between cocaine and fentanyl
In the state of Chihuahua, elements of the Army together with members of the National Guard carried out the seizure of a vehicle reported stolen, in addition to 327 kilograms of marijuana, which is added to four and a half kilos of seeds of the aforementioned plant. The above would have a value of 1.2 million pesos.
Likewise, in the border entity, 1,200 fentanyl pills and one kilo of marijuana were seized. These substances were valued at 494 thousand 373 pesos.
Both the doses of the opioid and the psychotropic drug were seized in the municipality of Bocoyna, in activities where agents of the Police and the State Attorney General’s Office participated.
Meanwhile, in Ciudad Juárez, a person was arrested with 254 thousand 709 pesos of cocaine. This is added to another 27 kilos of the same substance seized in the same entity and which have a value of 6.5 million pesos.
Million-dollar hits in Sinaloa
Meanwhile, in the state governed by Rubén Rocha Moya, 11 areas where substances for the manufacture of synthetic drugs were stored were disabled during actions in Culiacán, Cosalá and Elota.
As a result, three reactors, three condensers, almost 3 thousand liters of acetone, a thousand of ethyl alcohol, 65 liters of substances for the production of methamphetamine, 50 liters of ethanol, 325 kilos of caustic soda, among other substances, were seized.
It was a 149 million pesos raid, according to the institution headed by Omar García Harfuch. In addition, on Sunday, March 2, the Navy (Semar) reported on the seizure of three clandestine laboratories. The value of these facilities is 1,467 million pesos.
Mencho’s brother was carrying drugs worth millions
One of the arrests highlighted by the authorities is that of Abraham Oseguera Cervantes, a man nicknamed Don Rodo and identified as the brother of Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes, El Mencho. The brother of the criminal leader obtained an injunction that prevents him from being expelled from the country, as happened with Antonio Oseguera, another brother of El Mencho.
Don Rodo was arrested in Jalisco along with other people, from whom a rifle, a long gun and a short gun were seized, as well as two kilograms of methamphetamine and 3 thousand doses of the same substance. The value of the drugs is 1.4 million pesos.
Another of the million-dollar seizures was in Tamaulipas, where security agents found 50 kilos of methamphetamine, a haul of 50 million pesos.
Adding up the various seizures, more than 1,675 million pesos were seized in a period of three days.
