Among the artistic and cultural activities that the government of Alejandro Armenta is preparing to commemorate Women’s Day on March 8, the Secretariat of Arts and Culture will present the film series “Strong Women,” which includes the screening of five films for free.
The screenings will take place at the “Luis Buñuel” Cinematheque, located at 5 Oriente No. 5, in the Historic Center. The program will begin with the screening of “Agora,” by director Alejandro Amenábar, on Tuesday, March 4 at 6:00 p.m.
On Wednesday, March 5, the films “All About My Mother,” by Pedro Almodóvar, and “Blue Jasmine,” by Woody Allen, will be shown. On Thursday, March 6, “Lady Bird,” by Greta Gerwig, and “Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown,” also by Pedro Almodóvar, will be screened. On these days, the performances are scheduled at 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m., respectively.
