1,800 arrested in Chiapas police cleanup
1,800 people have been arrested as part of the cleanup of police corporations in Chiapas, said Governor Eduardo Ramírez.
“We have signed an agreement to move forward together in the construction of peace in the states that we lead. It is about closing options to crime and ensuring that territorial limits are not limits of action for crime,” he said.
The governor stressed that the generators of violence will not be able to commit crimes in Tabasco and take refuge in Chiapas, nor commit crimes in Chiapas and hide in Tabasco.
“They will not be able to because the authorities of both states are already coordinated and we will act together there and here to stop them and reduce crime,” he said.
