Tequila, avocado and berries, the products from Jalisco most affected by the imposition of tariffs

The Agricultural and Agroindustrial Development Council of Jalisco expressed its concern about the tariffs announced by the president of the United States, Donald Trump, which would affect products such as tequila, avocado and berries, key for Jalisco exports.
Andrés Canales Leaño, president of the organization, warned that these measures could generate inflation in both the United States and Mexico, since 25 percent of the food consumed in the United States comes from Mexico.
In addition, he pointed out that the “mirror” tariffs could make imported agricultural inputs more expensive.
The sector will participate in working groups with the federal government to analyze possible responses.
