The federal deputy of the Labor Party (PT), Margarita García García, asked Governor Salomón Jara Cruz to dismiss Saymi Pineda Velasco as Secretary of Tourism for the waste of public resources and her scandalous acts of corruption in a state where there are shortages in hospitals, lack of medicines in health centers and medical equipment.
The legislator of the 4T considers that “it is already intolerable to have this lady in a position where the only thing she has done is expose Oaxaca and the government because the only thing she is interested in is promotion for herself with the waste of resources.”
And she added: “I am obliged to ask the governor that this type of people who stain his government should resign.”
The legislator’s argument is that, in these almost three years of government, Saymi Pineda has squandered public resources such as paying more than 3 million pesos for confetti, another 10 million in gifts to luxury guests and more than 12 million pesos for the Julión Álvarez concert.
The most recent scandal is the one that occurred a few days ago in Colombia, where Saymi Pineda left with a group of 30 people from the Sectur, with all expenses paid, from what was revealed on social networks as an exhibition where they danced “La iguana”, a dance from the state of Guerrero, when they should have been promoting the culture of Oaxaca.
“Oaxaca continues to face many controversies within the government, especially in Sectur, it seems that they put her there to cause scandals for the governor, to make the government of Oaxaca look bad and the truth is, I wonder why they still have her in such a relevant position,” questioned the PT member.
García considered that she has been too ostentatious in the payments for various celebrations and there are still other festivities that she has not given an account of, such as the Day of the Dead or the Night of the Radishes.
Then, she said, “we cannot remain silent, in Oaxaca the authorities need to finish their roads, they need money for the schools, they need money for their health centers and hospitals and once again a scandal at the national and international level is tolerated by the government.”
Regarding the case of Julión Álvarez, the deputy hopes that the Finance Secretariat will review the invoice thoroughly because she considered it to be false, so much so that not even the governor himself believed it.
Another waste, she accused, is the Guelaguetzas that they carry out in all the regions to continue stealing the money, for which she insisted that the governor should remove Saymi Pineda from office.
