The 10th edition of the Festival of Arts, Sciences and Humanities (FACH) was presented, an event that invites children, adolescents and adults to participate in more than one hundred artistic, academic and formative activities, to be held from March 19 to 30 in León and San Miguel de Allende.
This festival has been held since 2016 by the National School of Higher Studies, León Unit (ENES-UNAM), in collaboration with the León Campus of the University of Guanajuato (UG), the Center for Research in Optics, the State Secretariat of Culture, the General Directorate of Education of León, the Secretariat of Education of Guanajuato (SEG), the Explora Science Center and the Knowledge Centers.
“This festival is already a decade old and its permanence deserves our congratulations because it is gaining more and more strength. The Forum will always be the home of this festival and on this occasion we will participate by making available all the spaces we have to bring activities such as the Wigberto Moreno Library or the Mateo Herrera auditorium,” said Adriana Camarena, head of the Guanajuato Cultural Forum.
The objective of the Festival is to generate a free offer of artistic activities and scientific and humanistic dissemination aimed at the entire population, with special emphasis on the most vulnerable population.
“In this scheme, different actors participate, such as state and municipal authorities, educational institutions, and that is important because we contribute science and arts to cultivate ourselves as a society. We live in a stage where science is present in all aspects of life and that is also part of culture,” said Dr. Mauro Napsuciale Mendivil, rector of the León UG Campus.
The main theme of this edition will be “Creating the future, protecting water,” given the importance of raising awareness and sensitizing with the care of this vital liquid, essential for the life of all living beings.
