A zombie sunflower caught the eyes of dozens of people who attended the Modern Carnival of Jitotol in the state of Chiapas that took place during the last weeks of February and beginning of March.
This discovery took place in the middle of the celebration of one of the carnivals with the most history in the community, which is attended by hundreds of people to enjoy the costumes and colors that characterize the streets of Jitotol during this season.
In the 50th celebration of this carnival, hundreds of people attended to parade through the streets with floats and costumes in which children and adults have fun and participate to keep their tradition alive, so it is common to see children’s characters and any cartoon, video game or animated series.
The realization of this carnival began as a way to erase differences and unite the inhabitants of Jitotol as a community with identity and belonging that has accompanied them for half a century, so from the City Council of Jitototl calls are carried out in which schools also participate.
Zombie Sunflower Appears Among Attendees
A woman dressed as a zombie sunflower from the video game “Plants vs Zombies” stole the attention of attendees for her incredible performance as she paraded through the streets of the community.
Through social media, dozens of people shared the funny moment in which the woman walked like a zombie, being the characteristic and necessary sunflower that every player needed to buy plants and defeat the brain eaters.
The woman’s parade took place in the middle of zombie characters carrying tools and masks, however, the sunflower stood out for moving better than them.
As she passed, the people who enjoyed the carnival smiled and laughed at the great performance of the woman who wore a pair of yellow petals on her face, a brown flowered shirt and black pants.
The woman’s appearance caused a stir on TikTok, as some users pointed out that the zombie sunflower does not exist in the video game, however, some denied the version by assuring that she only appeared to promote the first release of “Plants vs Zombies.”

After the woman’s video went viral on social media, some people showed her their video to congratulate her and to let her know the extent of her participation in the carnival, to which she could only smile amused.
