In Morelos, Roberto “N”, alias “El Gordo”, was arrested. He had an extradition order to the United States and was wanted for his ties to organized crime, as well as for conspiring to distribute drugs in that country. He is linked to the attack against the current Secretary of Citizen Security, Omar García Harfuch.
It should be noted that the detainee is one of the most wanted by the United States Marshals Service.
“As a result of the coordinated work to stop generators of violence, in Morelos, agents of the Secretariat of Security and Citizen Protection (SSPC), together with the Secretariat of National Defense (Sedena), the Secretariat of the Navy (Semar), the Attorney General’s Office of the Republic (FGR) and the National Guard (GN), fulfilled an arrest warrant against Roberto ‘N’, wanted by the U.S. Marshals,” the SSPC reported in a statement.
Roberto “N” was arrested in the Paraíso neighborhood, in the municipality of Cuernavaca, where, after constant monitoring, the authorities identified a subject who matched the characteristics of the reports.
The agents confirmed his identity and executed the arrest warrant for extradition purposes. He is accused of conspiracy of corrupt organizations influenced by organized crime, as well as conspiring to distribute cocaine base in the form of crack, methamphetamine, cocaine and heroin in the United States.
During a security inspection, four doses of marijuana and four doses of blue pills were found.
Roberto “N”, 38 years old, was informed of his constitutional rights and, along with the items seized, was placed at the disposition of the Public Ministry agent, who will define his legal situation.
