Faena District Tulum is the latest creation by Alan Faena and Len Blavatnik, who founded the Faena brand in 2000 with the mission of delivering holistic luxury experiences. The district will join Faena’s portfolio of cultural and social hubs across influential cities around the world, marking its fifth creative district in the Americas.
Set in the heart of the Riviera Maya, this innovative development will feature residential spaces, art pavilions, ocean clubs, and a luxury hotel with more than 77 rooms. Celebrating Art and Creativity
Art is central to the Faena philosophy, and to commemorate the launch of Faena District Tulum, Argentine artist Pilar Zeta unveiled a permanent installation titled “Portal del Éter Rojo” (Portal of the Red Ether). Inspired by Akasha, the work symbolizes the interconnectedness of all things and features a striking red egg at its center, crafted from steel, onyx, and marble.
The launch event also highlighted the work of the Cielo Tejido collective, a Jalisco-based group dedicated to promoting female talent. This collaboration reinforces Faena’s commitment to supporting local artisans and inspiring global audiences.
