From April 30 to May 5, the Exergia Racing Team is one of the teams representing Mexico in the Baja SAE Arizona International Competition in the United States, which is organized by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) and in which students design, build and test 4×4 single-seater off-road vehicles.

The team is made up of eight students and a graduate of Mechatronics Engineering, Civil Engineering and Mechanical Engineering from the Querétaro Campus of Tec de Monterrey, who face different teams from countries such as Canada, Brazil, India and the United States.

The event is divided into two main stages: Business Case, where the teams present their business strategies, financial reports and explanations about the design of their vehicle, simulating the sale of the vehicle in a real scenario; as well as the Dynamic Testing stage, in which the resistance and performance of the vehicle is evaluated in extreme conditions.

To advance to this most prestigious international competition in the student automotive field, the Tec Querétaro team achieved five podiums in the Baja SAE Monterrey – after its participation in the All Terrain 2024 competition at the Polytechnic University of Santa Rosa Jáuregui – it was there that Exergia became one of the four Mexican teams participating in the international event, along with the Tec Campus Guadalajara, Universidad de la Salle Bajío and CETYS University.

In the first stage of the Baja SAE Arizona Business Case in the United States; the students and the former Tec Campus Querétaro had an outstanding participation, which allowed them to be part of the 90 teams, out of 300 registered, that managed to advance to the second round; so they will compete in Baja SAE Arizona from April 30 to May 5, representing Mexico.
