Nayarit Governor Miguel Ángel Navarro highlighted the positive impact of the new hotel developments, Montage Punta Mita and Pendry Punta Mita, whose 10 billion peso investment will strengthen the Riviera Nayarit’s position as a premium tourist destination.
During the groundbreaking ceremony, it was emphasized that this project will generate more than 1,000 direct jobs and approximately 3,000 indirect jobs.
Montage and Pendry Punta Mita: Luxury and Growth in Banderas Bay
Both resorts will have more than 260 rooms and 90 private residences, blending into the natural surroundings with a high-level hospitality offering. Montage Punta Mita will offer a combination of luxury and nature with spectacular views of the Pacific Ocean, while Pendry Punta Mita will focus on avant-garde design with first-class dining and an exclusive Pendry Spa.
Miguel Ángel Navarro emphasized that this investment is a sign of investor confidence in Nayarit, thanks to its stability, security, and focus on sustainable development.
New direct flight connects Tepic with Los Angeles
As part of its tourism expansion, Volaris announced the launch of a direct flight between Tepic-Riviera Nayarit International Airport and Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). This route, which will begin operations on July 16, will have three weekly flights (Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays), facilitating international tourist access to the state.
The Secretary of Tourism, Juan Enrique Suárez del Real, emphasized that this development represents a great opportunity to strengthen foreign tourism, positioning Nayarit as a globally competitive destination. He also emphasized that air connectivity will boost key sectors such as hotels, gastronomy, and local commerce.
