México Desconocido magazine is calling for voting in the Best of Mexico 2025 competition, in which Oaxacan destinations participate in six of the 16 categories included in the publication specializing in travel and spectacular places in the country.
Voting will close until April 20th at https://lomejormexico.com/, where people can contemplate the vast wealth and incomparable beauty of Oaxaca, which makes it one of the most attractive states to visit for national and international tourists.
México Desconocido points out that these awards are a celebration of Mexico’s natural, cultural, and gastronomic richness, honoring its traditions, hospitality, and diversity, with categories comprised of places and tourist attractions that have provided unforgettable experiences to thousands of travelers.
Oaxaca participates in the Best Beach to Discover category in 2025 with Zipolite, recognized as a Biocultural Heritage Site and the only nudist beach in the state. Oaxaca City is considered in the Best City for a Destination Wedding category.
Oaxaca is also in the category for the State with the Best Typical Dish that Expresses the Essence of Mexican Gastronomy, with mole negro, one of the most emblematic dishes, whose preparation dazzles with its complexity and history.
Also, the Best Community Tourism Experience is to visit the ejidos of the Central Valleys; the Best Destination for an Adventure Experience is the Chipehua Dunes in the Isthmus of Tehuantepec; and the Best State for Discovering Destinations by Road, thanks to the new roads that connect the regions of the Isthmus of Tehuantepec and the Oaxaca Coast, among others that allow you to observe the state’s natural heritage.
