A man was shot dead tonight at a home located on E Street and D Street in the Tierra y Libertad neighborhood of this tourist destination.
The attack occurred near the San José convenience store when, according to a 911 emergency call, gunshots were heard.
Patrolman SPM-1213 was dispatched and, upon arriving at the scene, confirmed the death of a man.
The victim’s father said he was asleep when he heard the gunshots. After getting up and looking out, he saw some people leaving his house. He then went to look for his son and saw him breathing, but realized he was bleeding.
He then picked up the phone and requested an ambulance and a patrol car.
It was later confirmed that the victim had died from gunshot wounds.
