The dream of owning a home is now a reality for hundreds of families in Durango Tierra del Cine, a neighborhood financed through an innovative municipal government model, which is advancing with quality infrastructure to guarantee a decent environment with all the services.
In its first phase, 744 families have received their lot, and 250 are ready to begin construction of their homes. “This opportunity was a perfect fit; we’ve been waiting for something like this for years,” said Blanca Rivas, a program beneficiary, who emphasized the importance of having paved streets and streetlights.
To ensure families can start their new home in the best possible conditions, the municipal government has equipped the neighborhood with streetlights, green areas, and well-maintained roads. Durango Tierra del Cine is part of the transformation driven by President Toño Ochoa, who is close to meeting the goal of one million paved square meters.
Francisco Santillán, head of the SEDATU representative office in Durango, emphasized that this effort provides certainty for homeowners, while Luis Fernando Hernández, regional delegate of INFONAVIT, recognized the teamwork of the Municipal Government in making this development possible.
