In Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas, federal forces arrested Félix Alberto “N,” who was wanted by United States authorities.
A statement indicated that members of the Ministry of National Defense, the Ministry of the Navy (Semar), the Attorney General’s Office (FGR), the National Guard, and the Ministry of Security and Citizen Protection (SSPC) participated in the arrest.
“As a result of the exchange of information to arrest fugitives, security agents learned that a subject wanted by the Southern District Court of Texas for the crimes of illegal possession of a firearm with an altered serial number and possession of a firearm by an illegal user or addict of controlled substances had his transportation area in the América 1 subdivision, in the municipality of Nuevo Laredo,” it was stated.
With the information obtained, the work teams deployed to the area and located Félix Alberto “N” on Hipódromo Street, where after verifying his identity, they arrested him,” the SSPC press release stated.
The individual was informed of the reason for his arrest, was informed of his legal rights, and was brought before the National Migration Institute (INM), as he could not prove his legal presence in the country.
He was subsequently deported and handed over to the United States Marshals Service.
