A Mexico City (CDMX) police officer was recorded slapping a motorist, demanding that he show his documents and get out of his vehicle.
On the X account, formerly Twitter, of Tlalpan Vecinos, they published the motorist’s complaint, along with a video showing how the officer hit him in the face.
According to reports, the man is an app-based taxi driver, and it was on March 19th that an officer from the Citizen Security Secretariat (SSC) stopped him.
I was assaulted by an officer in the Los Hornos neighborhood, Tlalpan municipality. He stopped me without reason, demanded my documents, and demanded that I get out of the car. When he noticed I was recording him, he became aggressive and hit me in the face,” the complaint details.
The victim added that after the slap, the officer and his companions got into the patrol car with license plate MX-127-D3 and fled.

In the video, which lasts approximately 26 seconds, the officer is seen outside the driver’s door, complaining and asking, “Who says he has to open the door for him?”
“I say,” the officer responds, then raises his hand and slaps him.
After the assault, the motorist asks the officer why he hit him, as the officer drives away.

In the same publication, the Secretary’s Contact Unit of the SSC Mexico City responded that they could provide the location, date, and time of the events.
They also provided phone numbers and the Internal Affairs office of the Security department so that the affected person can file a complaint.
