In Guanajuato, Fernando “N” was arrested. Authorities have identified him as the alleged leader of a criminal cell with ties to a criminal organization originating in Jalisco. News reports indicate that the man is from the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG).
In addition to Fernando “N,” 36, the alleged leader of the criminal cell, Alfredo “N,” 38, a former member of the León Municipal Police; Carlos Rodrigo “N,” 34; Juan Carlos “N,” 32; and Mario Alberto “N,” 35, all residing in the municipality of León, were also arrested.
“Fernando “N” could be linked to an armed confrontation that occurred in 2021 at the Central de Abastos (Bakery Market), allegedly stemming from disputes over control of illicit activities,” according to a report by state authorities on March 23.

Similarly, Big Mama was allegedly responsible for posting messages related to a criminal group originating in Jalisco in the La Joyas neighborhood of the municipality of León. His criminal record includes homicide and administrative offenses, in addition to accusations of using warehouses to store tractor-trailers and allegedly stolen materials.
The operation that led to the aforementioned arrests was implemented on March 19 in the municipality of Silao, after agents received a report of a stolen tractor-trailer. Agents then arrived at a rural area where a group of people were unloading allegedly illicit merchandise.
Five vehicles were seized, and the suspects were unable to prove the legal origin of the stationery items.
Former Police Officer Detained

Similarly, Alfredo “N” was part of the León Municipal Police and has a record of administrative offenses from 2021 and 2022. “He is the subject of an ongoing investigation for his possible involvement in the theft of a flatbed tractor-trailer,” registered in 2023.
More recently, he worked as a security detail in the private sector.
Alleged Bribes Kept Him Free
Press reports indicate that Big Mama has previously escaped operations by authorities, allegedly for bribery. The suspects recently tried to pay the officers to avoid arrest, but the officers refused.

All those arrested were brought before the Public Prosecutor’s Office on charges of possession of stolen property. They are also being investigated for their alleged involvement in other activities linked to criminal groups.
The capture of the five individuals was described by authorities as “a significant step in the weakening of criminal structures” that use violent robbery to finance larger groups.
