Members of Mexico’s National Guard are intensifying security efforts and fostering public engagement through patrols across Tamaulipas municipalities.
With the goal of maintaining public order and strengthening relationships with local communities, National Guard officers have been conducting security and crime prevention patrols in public squares, commercial zones, parks, and residential areas. These operations cover key locations, including Ciudad Victoria, Nuevo Laredo, Matamoros, Reynosa, San Fernando, Soto la Marina, and Tampico.
During these patrols, officers emphasize citizen interaction, encouraging residents and visitors to utilize the 088 citizen assistance hotline. The hotline serves as a platform for reporting potential crimes and filing complaints, reinforcing the collaboration between authorities and the public to enhance safety in the region.
The initiative highlights the National Guard’s commitment to addressing security concerns while fostering trust and cooperation with the communities it serves.
