Yolanda Madori, an American woman accused of murdering her wife, is arrested in Baja California.

Yolanda Madori, 55, was arrested in the state of Baja California after spending more than a month on the run for the murder of her wife, Rebecca “Becky” Marodi, a fire captain in California, United States. Her arrest occurred at a hotel just over two miles from the US border, thanks to a coordinated operation between Mexican and US authorities.

The Baja California Citizen Security Secretariat (SSCBC) reported that Madori was located at a hotel in the Ferrocarril neighborhood. She was later handed over to the US Marshals Service at the border with support from the National Migration Institute (INM).

Madori was wanted for the murder of his wife, which occurred on February 17 in San Diego County. According to reports, the victim had informed him of her intention to end their marriage, which may have triggered the attack.

This isn’t Yolanda Madori’s first victim; the American already has a prior criminal record.
This isn’t the first time Yolanda Madori has run into trouble with the law. According to local media, in 2000, she was sentenced to more than nine years in prison after pleading guilty to voluntary manslaughter for stabbing her ex-husband, James Olejniczak.

Additionally, in 1995, she pleaded guilty to fraud after stealing more than $4,000 in state aid to illegally receive child welfare payments.

Now, she faces a new murder charge, with possible additional charges in the United States.
