Bus accident on the Mexico-Querétaro highway leaves 10 injured

Ten people were injured after a bus carrying 40 passengers from Aguascalientes climbed the retaining wall of the Mexico-Querétaro highway after being struck by a cargo truck that overturned in the area. The center and side lanes of the highway, heading toward Mexico City, were affected for more than eight hours.

Civil Protection and Firefighters, members of the National Guard, and state and municipal police coordinated various actions to secure the accident area and provide support to those affected.

The city government reported that three of the injured were taken to medical services, and another person was also sent to the Red Cross in the central area of ​​Tlalnepantla for hypoglycemia (low blood sugar).

Personnel from the State of Mexico Attorney General’s Office (FGJEM) arrived at the scene of the accident to conduct the corresponding investigations and determine the causes of the accident.

Due to the presence of the crashed vehicles, traffic on the highway was affected along the northern stretch to Periférico Norte for more than eight hours after the accident, which occurred before 8:00 a.m.
