Mazatlán laughs alone this Wednesday with nearly 12,000 travelers on three cruise ships.

With 11,895 cruise passengers and an estimated economic impact of 19 million pesos, Mazatlán welcomed three cruise ships this Wednesday: the Koningsdam, the Norwegian Bliss, and the Carnival Panorama.

The first ship to dock at the port was the Koningsdam, around 6:30 a.m. with 2,665 passengers and 978 crew members.

The Norwegian Bliss then docked at 7:30 a.m. with 4,347 passengers and 1,626 crew members.

Finally, the Carnival Panorama arrived at 9 a.m. with 4,883 passengers and 1,410 crew members.

The thousands of visitors will generate an economic impact of approximately 19 million pesos, benefiting various economic sectors of the city, such as businesses, restaurants, and transportation services.

A significant boom is expected for Mazatlán before the end of March, it was reported.

Boosting tourism is one of the main priorities of Mayor Estrella Palacios Domínguez’s administration, as part of the “A Modern and Sustainable Mazatlán” strategic axis of the 2024-2027 Municipal Development Plan.
