This time, it will take place on April 11th. The Chavorrucos (Children of the Chavorrucos) will once again revive the event that year after year attracts not only students completing their school term but also vacationers from all over the state, including the so-called “Spring Breakers,” university students who travel to our beach during their spring break, mainly from the United States.

The Nauticopa

The Nauticopa is one of the most important sporting events in the southern region of Tamaulipas, establishing itself as a symbol of Tampico, Ciudad Madero, and Altamira.

Don’t miss the experience of participating in this water sports competition, which will take place in the Champayán Lagoon in Altamira and attracts national and international participants.

The event is scheduled for April 11th-13th. The official presentation will take place on April 11th, the competition will begin on the 12th, and the awards ceremony will take place on the 13th.

Dance Sundays in Tampico’s pedestrian zone

The “Dance Sundays” in Tampico’s pedestrian zone are a traditional event that Tampico residents enjoy as a family.

The street fills with children and adults, with performances of tropical music, marimba, and local DJs playing retro tunes. It’s undoubtedly a great plan to spend the afternoon and show off your best moves outdoors.

These sessions generally take place in Plaza Hijas de Tampico or on the Salvador Díaz Mirón pedestrian street and are completely free.

Although these dances are held regularly, specific dates and times may vary.

Therefore, it is recommended to stay tuned for announcements in local media and on the social media channels of Tampico’s cultural organizations for updates on upcoming events.

Matinee with the Tampico Municipal Band

Sundays are family-friendly, and in our port, they are celebrated to the rhythm of the Municipal Band. Every morning at the Pink Octopus, the kiosk located in front of the municipal hall, a wide repertoire of music for all generations is performed.

The matinee with the Municipal Band is held in the morning. If you enjoy classical music or just want to have a good time, we recommend staying tuned for updates from the Tampico Department of Culture for the exact times. Don’t miss it!
