In the city of Mazatlán, armed men repeatedly fired at a group of young people who were chatting on a street in the Mazatlán Uno neighborhood. Two men were killed and two were injured, including a 14-year-old boy.
Security authorities were notified of gunshots in the neighborhood. Upon arriving, the police, army, and emergency services confirmed that one person had died at the scene and three more were injured.
At a hospital, where one of the injured men was admitted, it was shortly afterward reported that he had died from his injuries. The other two young people, including the 14-year-old boy, were admitted to a private clinic.
The State Attorney General’s Office has launched the initial investigation into this attack on a group of people.
Regarding the attackers, despite state and federal forces deploying a search operation on several streets in that area, they were unable to locate them.
