But… What is NASCAR?

NASCAR (National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing) is one of the most iconic automotive competitions in the United States, with a rich tradition that makes it one of the most important sports franchises in the country. Founded in 1948 by Bill France, NASCAR has more than 75 years of history, dating back to its first official race in 1949.

If you’re still not sure what this exciting event is all about, the NASCAR Cup Series is a top-level series that rewards the most outstanding driver. But it’s not just about the battle between drivers; sports car manufacturers and teams also fight it out to be crowned champion until the final race of the season!

The drivers’ championship is determined through the playoffs, while the teams’ championship is decided by adding up the points earned in the 36 races of the season. The championship for the best manufacturer is also determined using the same points system.

A historic event you can’t miss

This 2025, the cars that will roar onto NASCAR tracks have a unique characteristic: they are production cars, known as “stock cars.” Although these machines have been modified to optimize their performance on the track and ensure driver safety, their commercial versions can be found circulating on the streets of the United States, Mexico, and other countries. An exciting connection between racetracks and the daily lives of motorsports fans!
