Can Fest 2025 will take place on March 29th and 30th at the Kiosko Morisco in the Santa María la Ribera neighborhood, located on Avenida Ribera in San Cosme, Cuauhtémoc Municipality. The event is organized by this district and aims to promote responsible pet ownership through free veterinary services and recreational activities.
Activities will begin at 9:00 a.m. and conclude at 7:00 p.m. on both days.
Free Veterinary Services
During the festival, various free veterinary services will be offered. These include spay/neuter sessions for dogs and cats. Interested parties must meet requirements such as presenting a current vaccination record, bringing their pets after eight hours of fasting, having official identification, and bringing clean, recently bathed, and free of visible parasites.
A vaccination campaign for dogs and cats will also be held. According to the organizers, 250 vaccinations will be administered daily, with an estimated total of 500 doses available.
There will be unlimited dog haircuts and preventive medical evaluations, also with no capacity restrictions. In addition, 300 doses will be distributed for internal deworming.
Sterilization Requirements
The sterilization service is open to healthy animals older than 4 months and younger than 8 years. Sterilization will not be permitted on females in heat or nursing. Visitors must bring a blanket and adequate transportation for transportation after the procedure.
Venue and Access
The festival will take place at the Kiosko Morisco, an iconic spot in Santa María la Ribera. Admission is free and no prior registration is required, although some services may have limited capacity per day.
