Puerto Vallarta hoteliers expect over 90 percent occupancy for the Easter and Holy Week holiday period.
Álvaro Garciarce Monraz, president of the Puerto Vallarta Hotel and Motel Association, explained that they expect to break records for domestic and international tourist visits.
“The holiday season is coming along very well; the winter season has been quite busy, and we are working specifically to have a good Easter and Holy Week season,” he commented.
The hotel leader in that destination expressed confidence that this year’s holiday season will be better than last year in terms of occupancy and economic benefits.
“It has always been a very good time, especially Easter, but this year we have had major changes. For example, the Guadalajara-Puerto Vallarta highway is now complete, and that will help a lot.”
The leader reported that there are also new hotels in the city that will meet tourist demand. The destination currently has 25,000 rooms, with 700 more to be added.
“There are several renovations, and we have a hotel under construction,” added Álvaro Garciarce Monraz, who highlighted the attractions of this destination, which is ranked among the top nationally and internationally, as it boasts beaches, mountains, and first-class cuisine.
