The first quarter of 2025 has been positive for Los Cabos in terms of air arrivals. Recently, Los Cabos International Airport reported 2 million passengers, representing growth compared to the same period last year. The most notable segment was private aviation, which brings with it a visitor profile with greater economic benefits.

Rodrigo Esponda Cascajares, director of the Los Cabos Tourism Trust (Fiturca), shared that the tourist destination is enjoying a strong start to the year, with private plane arrivals increasing by 3 percent in the first quarter. This number, he noted, has been reflected in the destination’s services, as ultra-luxury hotel occupancy increased by 5 percent.

“This is a very positive trend for the destination because we’re increasingly attracting a traveler profile with greater purchasing power who are seeking unique experiences such as gastronomy, golf, sport fishing, and experiences in contact with nature, which are precisely what sets Los Cabos apart.”

Although the first few months of the year have barely passed, expectations for the next six months remain positive. The director of Fiturca explained that seats are already scheduled for the destination through September and indicate significant growth.

“We see a 13 percent increase in registered seats from the United States to Los Cabos, a 9 percent increase in the domestic market, and a 3 percent increase from Canada, which shows that there continues to be a preference for both foreign and domestic visitors to come to the destination.”

The Tourism Trust reaffirmed that the various sectors of the tourism industry must remain focused on maintaining the destination’s quality, cleanliness, and services, with the aim of maintaining its positive results.
