Canadian Tourist Evacuated from Boat in Cabo San Lucas for Medical Emergency

A 49-year-old Canadian national experiencing high blood pressure was evacuated from a recreational vessel in Cabo San Lucas Bay on Tuesday, April 15, following an emergency call received by the Secretariat of the Navy (Semar). The individual was transported to a local hospital for further care.

The captain of the vessel alerted authorities, prompting the deployment of a Defender-type naval vessel with specialized personnel. Upon arrival, naval personnel conducted an initial medical assessment and provided first aid to stabilize the patient. The victim was then transported to the Naval Sector pier, where paramedics from a private ambulance took over and transferred the individual to a hospital in Cabo San Lucas.

Authorities have not released additional details regarding the patient’s current condition. As part of ongoing operations, the Cabo San Lucas Naval Sector has provided the emergency contact number 624-105-1110 for public assistance.
