Tamaulipas is preparing to surpass the achievements of the last edition of the Tourist Tianguis and take full advantage of the national and international showcase represented by the country’s most important tourism event, which will be held at the Baja California Center in Rosarito Beach in 2025.
State Tourism Secretary Benjamín Hernández Rodríguez emphasized that this year’s goal is to surpass the number of business meetings and strategic agreements reached in 2024, when deals were signed with airlines from Campeche and Veracruz, among other key players in the sector.
When will the Tourist Tianguis México 2025 take place?
“The Tourist Tianguis México 2025 will take place from April 28 to May 1. It represents a unique opportunity to showcase Tamaulipas’ tourism offerings, infrastructure, and diversity to more than 10,000 buyers and industry experts,” stated Hernández Rodríguez.
The official announced that the Tamaulipas pavilion will promote natural destinations, cultural and historical wealth, as well as regional gastronomy and traditions, elements that are an essential part of the state’s strategy to position itself as a comprehensive tourist destination.
“Tamaulipas’ presence at this national event reaffirms Governor Américo Villarreal Anaya’s commitment to economic and social development, through promoting tourism as a strategic driver,” noted Hernández Rodríguez.
The 49th edition of the Mexico 2025 Tourism Fair will be held on the country’s northwestern border, with the expected participation of all 32 states, industry companies, tour operators, travel agencies, airlines, hoteliers, and specialized media.
What are Tamaulipas’ tourist destinations?
The state of Tamaulipas has a wide range of tourist attractions, which the event, to be held on the Baja California coast, aims to highlight.
Its 420 kilometers of coastline, with beaches such as Bagdad in Matamoros, Carbonera de San Fernando, La Pesca in Soto la Marina, Barra del Tordo in Aldama, Tesoro de Altamira, and Miramar in Ciudad Madero, make it one of the states with the greatest potential.
Inland, it boasts mountains in the El Cielo Biosphere Reserve; the magical towns of Tula and Mier; and the cenotes in the municipality of Aldama. This is further enhanced by one of the most varied cuisines, a blend of Huasteca and seafood.
The 2025 Tianguis Turístico in Claudia will be one of the largest showcases for the industry, which Tamaulipas will capitalize on, seeking to break records for business meetings and position the state as a national and international option for travelers.
