State and Highway Police arrested three people for their probable involvement in fuel theft.
A tanker truck was also seized on Federal Highway 190, next to the Petróleos Mexicanos (Pemex) plant near Santa María del Tule, the SSPC reported in a statement.
According to the report received through the 911 Emergency Service, a suspected illegal tapping of the oil company’s pipelines was located at that location.
On that federal highway, in the lane heading toward Tlacolula de Matamoros, a yellow and white vehicle was located, bearing license plates 127EW4 on the front and 930WS1 on the rear. It had two tanks (one with a capacity of 19,800 liters and the second with a capacity of 35,500 liters).
Police officers arrested E. N. C., F. D. R. G., and C. D. S. C., ages 41, 31, and 21, respectively, at the scene. They were taken into custody by the competent authorities.
Meanwhile, the area was secured by members of these state corporations.
