The Easter holidays have generated an economic impact of more than 3.346 billion pesos in Veracruz, the State Government reported.
During the holiday period, more than 2.485 million visitors and tourists arrived in municipalities such as Veracruz, Boca del Río, Xalapa, and Coatzacoalcos, among others.
Likewise, Magical Towns such as Coatepec, Coscomatepec, Córdoba, Naolinco, Orizaba, Papantla, Xico, and Zozocolco also saw significant influx.
“Hotel occupancy is at 100 percent in sun and beach destinations, (…) the success of this season has also represented a significant boost for the local economy,” stated the Government of Veracruz.
In this regard, authorities highlighted the efforts made to promote the state’s tourist attractions as a strategy to boost its economic development.
